To access the CERN CVS repositories, you will need to authenticate to the CERN Kerberos Version 4 (four) server. Use the AFS klog.krb program (in /usr/afsws/bin) with the "-cell CERN.CH" option and your CERN AFS password to authenticate to the CERN Kerberos 4 server. If you experience problems accessing the CERN CVS repository after authenticating with klog.krb, it is likely that you have a stale Kerberos Version 4 ticket lying around. To fix this problem, use the kdestroy command in /usr/kerberos/bin in Linux and /usr/bin in Solaris and reauthenticate to the CERN Kerberos 4 server with the klog.krb command. NOTE: Running kdestroy will destroy ALL Kerberos tickets, this includes Kerberos Version 5 tickets in addition to Kerberos Version 4 tickets. |
