Submit Your Job to Grid

Before you submit job to grid, you need to obtain a Globus proxy by entering the following command:

%globus-proxy-init

You are prompted for your Globus passphrase. By default, twelve hours is the default time for the proxy to be in effect. After the proxy expires, you need to rerun this command to create a new proxy. You can display the contents of the status of your proxy by the following command.

%grid-proxy-info -all

If you want your job on any available Grid node:

%globus-job-run  echo "Hello World"

If you want to run your job on a specified node:

%globus-job-run grid.usatlas.bnl.gov /bin/echo "Hello World"
