Creating a .forward file on rcf.rhic.bnl.gov.

To create a .forward file on rcf.rhic.bnl.gov, you will need to access your email account on rcf.rhic.bnl.gov via the Web interface. To create your .forward file follow these instructions:

1. Using a web browser, access the secure web server on webmail.rhic.bnl.gov by using the URL https://webmail.rhic.bnl.gov.
2. Read the warning message. Make sure you understand the risks and limitations of the email system.
3. Enter RCF Mail.
4. Log onto the server (Your username is your Unix account name. Your email password is the password that you use when accessing your email via IMAP.)
5. Select " Options " from the menu bar.
6. Select " Change Forward File " from the options provided.
7. Enter the desired forward address in the " Forward Emails To: " box. The format is the standard " username@hostname ". (Multiple email addresses can be entered by separating each address with a comma.
8. Submit your setting by clicking the submit button.
9. Sign off of the system by clicking on " Sign Out ".
10. Exit your browser.

Deleting a .forward file on rcf.rhic.bnl.gov.

To delete a .forward file, just create a blank .forward file using the above procedure.
